Top 3 Reasons to book a “Fresh 48” Hospital Newborn Session

Top 3 Reasons to book a “Fresh 48” Hospital Newborn Session: San Diego Photographer, Light of Love Photography

I get it. I’ve been there (twice!). You are at the finish line. Baby will be here soon. You are trying to wrap your head around it all – the nerves, the excitement, anticipation, hormones, mommy “to do” lists, exhaustion, body discomfort, the changes to come in your family, “will I ever sleep again?” – it’s all bubbling up. And it can be overwhelming at times, rught? You are so ready to meet this little blessing and cradle them in your arms! But, you might not be feeling your best. And, as a result, taking pictures in the hospital might be the furthest thing from your mind. You say to yourself, “there’s always the portrait mode on my iPhone.” Well, this is for you.

Here are my top 3 reasons WHY you should go through with booking a “Fresh 48” session.

1) The images will help you to remember.
Your time in the hospital will be “fuzzy” mommas. Whether it’s a planned C or you are pushing your baby out, it’s a lot of work on your body to birth a baby. You are exhausted. Done. Yes, you will experience the greatest joy (I hope!), but your body is at it’s max. Simply put, the images from your “Fresh 48” session will help you to: REMEMBER. I look at my images and all the feelings, smells, sensations of holding their little body for the first time – it comes flooding back. Push through the tired mommas, it’s worth it.

2) Your baby will never be this little again.
Your baby will be fresh out of the womb and itty bitty. Their little yawns. Their wrinkled skin. Their squished up body. All so precious, cuddly and beyond description – CUTE! I hate to break it to you, but when they come home and you wait a week (or until you “feel” like photos), this new baby of yours will be bigger. Their look starts to change. And this look will continue to change day-over-day and month-over-month. It’s crazy you guys! (We still debate about who our children look like, because they change overtime. Is he momma? Is she daddy?)

3) Your iPhone “Portrait Mode” will not cut-it.
Yes, it’s good. But not good enough for this milestone. You have just birthed your baby and welcomed them into your family. It deserves to be celebrated! And you, mommas, will want to sit back and soak it all in. Enjoy the process of being with your people. Watch your husband as he becomes a first-time “daddy” – you will melt. Or your little ones holding their siblings for the first time. It’s major heart expansion! When you invest in a “Fresh 48” session with me, it’s the best $500 you will ever spend.
