Meet Selah. Her name means to “to praise” or “to pause and reflect”. We could all use a little bit of that right now. A few months ago I (almost) got to attend the birth of this beautiful baby girl. However, she had plans of her own and was born lighting fast while I was stuck in rush hour traffic. I cried a little. However, I walked in her room just moments after and was able to witness all the first moments as she was getting to know her new world. The golden hour post birth is magic. And can I just give a shout out to this gorgeous momma friend of mine? This is her third baby that she has delivered in-hospital, unmedicated, full of strength… and grace… and perseverance. A complete rockstar! With everything that is going on due to COVID, I imagine it will be awhile until I am able to capture in-hospital births and Fresh 48’s. Breaks my heart. However, if you are delivering at-home or in a birthing center, let’s talk.
