Graduation is now in full swing! What a blast to spend some time with sweet Hanna at one of her favorite places in San Diego, Del Mar Beach. Hanna just graduated from UC San Diego and has big plans for her future. She is Pre-Med and will become a nurse practitioner. I’m thrilled for her! Her favorite hobby is running, so she didn’t hesitate when I asked her to run around in the water. Those were definitely my favorite images coming out for her Senior Portrait Session. So nice to meet you Hanna, and congrats to all the graduates out there!

YAY! Here are my friends: the Stapletons. I get an extra “thrill” as a photographer when I have the opportunity to photography my friends and their family. And there is much to celebrate! A 10 year anniversary (they met in Spanish class, ole!), summer birthdays, and the littlest mascot of the family: sweet Twyla turning ONE! We did a quick mini session in their neighborhood park. Here are a handful of pictures coming out of their San Diego spring photoshoot. Aren’t they the cutest? Arms and hearts are full! Thank you, Jesus, for your good gifts.

As a photographer, word of mouth is everything. Truly. I am so thankful a high school friend of mine sent this wonderful family my way! They had not had professional family photos in awhile – most of the pics live on the cell phones (I get it!). I enjoyed taking them to one of my favorite spots in San Diego and did my best to keep up with their busy boys. (I need to work on my tree climbing skills!) Thanks Changs! I had so much fun with your family.

What a privilege it was to meet the Alexious! They are somewhat new to San Diego and hadn’t had a photo session together since their youngest was a baby, so they wanted some “right now” pictures together. I’m so glad they did! We decided to have their family session at the beach by Scripps Pier, in La Jolla. The sunset was magical! This family is bursting at the seams with love for one another. It was a joy to photograph! Thanks you guys. I hope to see you again soon!

My first family photoshoot of 2018 was with this happy bunch! Whoop whoop. I just loved my time with them. I was reflecting back as to why I enjoyed photographing the Truong family so much, and I have to say it is because of their JOY. They hadn’t been in front of the camera together since the kids were little, so I reminded them about the importance of just relaxing and enjoying their time together. Well no stiff smiles here. Just a lot of silly, and laughter, and good old fashion joy. Makes my j.o.b. (if that’s what you call it) so fun. Thanks you guys!
