I have heard that you “blink” and your children are out of the house and off to college. I totally get that now! It seems that every morning, my little ones have grown an inch over night. Slow down! Well..  this momma had the right idea! Before her son-and-daughter left for college, the Neppl’s came together for an “official” family photoshoot. (They couldn’t remember the last time they had done this.) And I am so glad they did! Del Mar is my stomping grounds and such an ideal spot for photos in San Diego. Here is a sample of the images from their family photoshoot. In just a short mini session, we were able to capture a good mixed of posed shots, portraits and candids – especially with an emphasis on giving their beautiful mom an extra dose of love. It’s hard when the babies leave the nest! But something tells me that she and her husband will be just fine. Checkout the beaming smiles when they are together! Yay. 🙂

The lady in the middle, who is cracking up with her daughters, was the host for the family reunion. I’m so happy she reached out to me to capture this moment in time for her family. She managed to bring everyone together from CAN to OR to AK to CA, and beyond – to her home in San Diego. Some of the people were meeting for the very first time, yet with all the smiles and laughter you would have thought that they had known one another for a long time. Their family ties quickly connected them, and it was all about making memories! We did a bunch of large group shots and also did mini sessions for each individual family. Here is a sampling of images from our fun time together.

There is just something about being pregnant and growing a little human.. while it can be hard on your body at times, it’s pure magic – a miracle! And while I never looked good pregnant, I can really appreciate those that pull-it-together and somehow SHINE. Enter this beautiful momma. I mean, really? Lindsey looked so stylish with her flowy lavender dress, sweet flower hair piece – and of course, a perfect baby bump! This is the class “what to wear to a maternity photoshoot”. Nailed it!

The two of them simply radiate joy and excitement as they are expecting their first child – a little boy. I have had the privilege of photographing them at their engagement, on their wedding day.. and now this. I am so thrilled to meet their little one anytime now!

Sending you love and many blessings, Lindsey + Evan! You will make incredible parents!

Meet Davis! He is named after a golfer, and yep, you guessed it – he is a golfer too. And he plays waterpolo. And.. he likes to surf. The man of many talents! We landed at the beach for his senior portrait session. Before our time together, I had asked his mom to tell me a little about him – she said the sweetest thing that I want to share. “Any mom would be proud to have him for a son. Davis’ heart is bigger than his body. He is the first one to open the door for a lady (including his mom) or give his seat up on a train for a lady or older person.” How cool, right? Sounds like his parents need some serious credit for that, as I do believe it is a trait that young men must be taught and learn to follow by example. I can only hope that our son will do the same one day. Now on to the senior pictures of one fine young man!

Meet Kaitlin!  She choose one of my personal favorite spots in San Diego for her Senior Pictures, Del Mar Beach. I loved my time with her! Not only is she a beauty with an incredible smile that lights up her whole face, she has a beautiful, tender heart too. Since I am incredibly delayed with blogging her session (gah!), I can now *officially* wish her well as her first year of college is underway. Keep being a light, Kaitlin!
