This momma right here… is, well, one beautiful, courageous lady, who, by the grace of God, stands strong! Let’s just say that this family has endured a lot of heartache over the past year.  And, as they come up for air, I feel so blessed to have been given an opportunity to photograph their sweet smiles.  They now celebrate a new chapter in their lives in 2016 and need new family pictures!  Going barefoot and enjoying the (what was warm) weather in San Diego was a must.  So we played around La Jolla Shores for this beach family photoshoot.  Here are just a handful of images from my time with the lovely McCoy girls.

I was so thrilled to hear that my friend, Jenny, was pregnant after many years of trying. Praise the Lord! And the best part, she and her hubby went from AZ >> SD on a “baby moon” and reached out to me to take maternity photos of them. (I had not seen Jenny since college. A long, long… time ago!) This beautiful mommy absolutely radiates! And she really brought such an incredible sense of style when it comes to her maternity clothes. She looked prefect in those turquoise books against the natural, rustic setting at our first location, and with a classic beachy vibe where we ended the session at La Jolla Shores. Out of 100+, here are just a handful of the images from their maternity photoshoot. It was so hard to choose!

Well, I heard some big news! Your baby girl is now here. Yay! I hope that you are enjoying all the “first” moments. In the midst of the sleepless nights, relish every baby snuggle, smell, smile – all of it. You two are going to be a great team! Enjoy the ride!

Thanks again for letting me capture this beautiful time in your lives.

Blessings, Kris

I admire relationships that have history, where a couple has loved one another for many years.  They have weathered the good times and the challenges, and have come out stronger.  Flourishing together, in fact.  After 10 years, Natalie + Chad are that couple.  And 2016 is their year to get married, yay!

They choose the Bernardo Winery for their San Diego engagement session – one of my favorite spots.  It was the perfect location for them to relax and be in a natural groove together; the kind that is so easy to do when a couple knows each other so well.  I especially love their connection when they were hugging in the vineyard, as you will see in the images.  Such a beautiful moment.

Natalie + Chad will be getting married around their favorite holiday, Halloween, hence the pumpkins and quirky Tim Burton feel at the start of the shoot.  They are the coolest. This is sure to be a fun wedding and I am thrilled to be a part of it!  Enjoy this time of being engaged you two!

Ready for some cuteness? Meet the Yasbeks, and their precious baby girl, Cora, and big brother, Owen. I have to admit that following this “mommy path” that I have been on over the past few years, I am loving every chance I have to photograph a newborn & do a family lifestyle photography session for other people. It’s such a sweet time! And I am now more fully aware of its importance. You want to savor every new moment as it goes by in a flash. It brings me so much joy to capture a *growing* family together. I especially enjoy the new sibling interactions. Big bro, Owen, seriously cracks me up in some of these photos (check-out the Lion roar). Got to love a 2 year old in full swing, the best. Baby Cora, you are a lucky lady to have been born into such loving arms.

Evan + Lindsey had quite the wedding! It was a warm (make that hot!) summer day in sunny San Diego. The wedding had style. It had class. It hit up some of the coolest spots in town. And, it was one epic celebration of love!

The couple chose the ocean views of the Wedding Bowl for their wedding ceremony and the La Jolla Financial Building for their rooftop glam wedding reception. Savannah of Luxe Events coordinated the day, Audra Renee Studios made everyone look their beautiful-best, Isari designed the classic white florals, and Mikey Beats put on killer dance party (the feathers were flying!).

For the bride, Lindsey, saying “I Do” to the man of her dreams was definitely a dream come true. And, well, very strategic. She knew what she wanted when she first spotted Evan across a room.  When their paths crossed again, she mustered up enough courage to go up to him and say “hello”.  And boy, did Evan luck out! Lindsey is a beauty inside-and-out, so it was easy for her to steal his heart.

More on Lindsey… This bride. Gorg! Her glamorous dress was dripping with feathers. It had so much personality that it had to be named.  Lindsey fondly called her, Karina. Let’s begin this wedding feature with Lindsey prepping with her best girls at the Hotel La Jolla.

Evan + Lindsey, I feel so fortunate to have been a part of your engagement and wedding day. Thank you, thank you! I wish you a beautiful life together (and lots of babies).

Blessings, Kris
