Ahhh.. this momma right here. She is one of my besties, and one of my oldest, dearest friends… since sixth grade people! This momma is the glue that holds her family together. She loves them all so well. Annndd.. she is beautiful inside and out, she’s smart, strong, resilient during some tough times, she’s hard-working, can build just about any piece of furniture from iKea -and- knows how to let her hair down and have some fun! Dance party, anyone? Yep, I think she is rather bad a$$, and I am very proud of her. Here are some sneaks from their family session at Del Mar Beach. Editing away over here!

I have the privilege of seeing this adorable family each year. Their love for one another warms my heart. We casually walked around the South Coast Botanic Gardens together, and explored, played, and of course paused for some family snuggles.

“The essence of life is not in the great victories and grand failures, but in the simple joys.” (Huie) I read this quote the other day and thought, “yes… that’s exactly it!” It’s the simple joys that I love to capture, especially as it relates to motherhood and loving on our babies.

I just want to encourage you to get in the frame mommas! We will never really “feel” like it, and that’s so normal. Please contact me to schedule a family photoshoot.

When I think about my ideal client, I envision a beach-lovin,’ San Diego girl. She loves life and lives it to the fullest. She loves her family fiercely, and is a super fun mom. Oh wait, here she is! Enter Alisa, and her most precious treasures on this earth. Her family. Lucky me, I have been able to see them a few times in the last year to document their beautiful life together. They laughed. They played. They got their feet wet. And they didn’t let a little marine layer spoil their sunshine! Here are some of the images from their beach family photography session. So hard to choose just a handful, as I love them all.
