There sure is a lot going on in the world right now. And I just want to pause for a minute to recognize what is GOOD. This. right. here. Ahh, how I love a Lifestyle Newborn Session. It’s such a passion of mine! Thank you for sharing your heart and tiny humans with me Arthur Family. What a treat!
“We are born of love. Love is our mother.” – Rumi
Just wrapping up editing this gorgeous Lifestyle Newborn Photography session with the Knowles Family. They just welcomed their first baby; a little girl named Blakely. I am so very fortunate to document these significant motherhood stories. This type of photography is near-and-dear to my heart. Thank you for inviting me into your homes to capture these precious, early moments. Honored!
Dear Magnuson family… oh how I adore you all, and your sweet love for one another. What a privilege it is for me to capture your family over the years. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart. I’m sad that we had to wait a couple of months to do your Lifestyle Newborn Photography (thanks a lot COVID!), however I am thankful that sweet baby girl, Maren, is still itty bitty. These moments are everything.
Lucky me! For the second year in a row, the Watkins family has won an auction for my photography at The New Children’s Museum. It was so fun to see them again, and to romp around their favorite beach in San Diego. This was the first official day of the “quarantine,” and I have to say it was really nice to capture their love for one another (and to take our minds off of everything). Praying for quick resolve to this virus, and for the health and well-being of all the people on this fine planet. Wonderful to see you again Watkins Family!
Meet Selah. Her name means to “to praise” or “to pause and reflect”. We could all use a little bit of that right now. A few months ago I (almost) got to attend the birth of this beautiful baby girl. However, she had plans of her own and was born lighting fast while I was stuck in rush hour traffic. I cried a little. However, I walked in her room just moments after and was able to witness all the first moments as she was getting to know her new world. The golden hour post birth is magic. And can I just give a shout out to this gorgeous momma friend of mine? This is her third baby that she has delivered in-hospital, unmedicated, full of strength… and grace… and perseverance. A complete rockstar! With everything that is going on due to COVID, I imagine it will be awhile until I am able to capture in-hospital births and Fresh 48’s. Breaks my heart. However, if you are delivering at-home or in a birthing center, let’s talk.
